For the price you really can't go wrong. I bought a friend a similar one from another company and it did not work well at all. The iPad kept slipping out of the case. I did a ton of comparison shopping for the perfect case for my new 3rd gen iPad but couldn't seem to find a product that had consistent good reviews & also worked with the iPad 3. I became concerned that my unprotected iPad would get damaged if I didn't get a good case soon so I ordered a combo folio & wireless keyboard at $100 from a manufacturer...but it was so backordered I cancelled the order-so back to the drawing board. Then I came across CrazyOnDigital Rotating Case..I was concerned that it would not be compatible with my 3rd gen based on reviews of other products..but thought $13 was worth a try...I am shocked it is a high quality product that actually fits the iPad 3 & that the auto wake/sleep actually functions properly. The case is very well made. It did have a slight chemical odor as reported by other reviewers but nothing like other products I have purchased which required leaving the item outside for a few days...the slight odor disappeared the same day. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the elastic band used to keep the folio closed is a navy blue color & looks out of place on a dark purple/almost brown color case. I am assuming the other colors has the same blue elastic band. I also doubt the elastic will last very long before it gets stretched out & becomes unusable. But is forgivable given the price. The only other drawback is it adds quite a bit of weight to the iPad. But for those reviewers who complained about a similar produc (read more customer review)





This product has a great cost to performance ratio. Sleep/wake function does work for the New iPad (aka iPad 3 and iPad 2012). The company also has good customer service. I notified them that the sleep/wake function stopped working and they sent me a new one which I received exactly 14 days after notifying them. After receiving the replacement, I realized that the new one had my iPad oriented 180 degrees from how I had the old one oriented. Re-orienting the iPad by spinning it 180 degrees CURED ITS SLEEP/WAKE FUNCTION ISSUES. If you're having similar issues, spin your iPad 180 degrees and see if your sleep/wake function starts working again.(read more customer review)

I have had several covers for my iPad but this one is my favorite so far. It's a great neutral color with a little pop of red. It doesn't have one of my cover pet peeves, the border that goes all the way around the screen. When I have had these types of covers, dirt and dust collects around the border and it's SO gross! Plus it's hard to clean the whole screen. This cover has two leather corners and two elastic corners. So the iPad fits perfectly and stays in and is very easy to clean!. I can tuck the red strap into the front of the cover while it's open and the cover doesn't flop closed on me. But when it's closed I can tuck the same strap in and it doesn't flop open!! It's been great for me!!

This is a very nice product. I was very happy with the product when I purchased it and received it. It was received in a timely matter. My complain is that the top band of the case, that holds the iPad covers the front camera. So if you are going to facetime you need to flip the iPad. my other complain is that, that same top band the leather part of it is unsewing itself and coming off. it's about 1/4 off which isn't bad at all. I just would have prefered....that it wouldn't have started to come off.

As previous reviews have already indicated, this is a great case for the iPad3 and you won't go wrong at the current price point. My only additional thoughts to the review/comments already provided is.....About 80% of the time my iPad will go into Standy mode immediately when the cover is closed. The other 20% of the time the screen remains on. However, please note that all the cover magnets do is put the unit into "Standby Mode". The unit does not turn off (You have to hold the power button and move this slider to do this). Other reviewers have indicated their dissatisfaction with this product due to cover magnet failures. It should be understood that if the magnets don't automatically put your iPad into "Standby" when the cover is closed, the unit will go into "Standby" after 2 mins of inactivity by default anyway (Unless this setting was changed). "Waking" the unit either occurs when the cover is opened or by pressing the bottom center button. Overall, great product for the money. Would definately recommend. (read more customer review)


Well, I did the research, and read the reviews, and checked the local Target, Radio Shack, etc. and finally ordered the AMCase for my new iPad2. At $15.99 it wasn't a big risk. But, holding my breath, because I am leaving for Europe in a week -- Lo' and behold, the case shows up ahead of schedule and it is GREAT! I bought this case based on the good reviews on here and am not disappointed. It fits like a glove and is slim and light-weight. Only nit is that the volume control is a bit difficult to operate, but not too bad. Magnetic shut-off works like a charm. Wish they made different colors so my wife would use one also. This case fits the new iPad nicely. The holes are in appropriate places for the cameras and speaker. The magnetic on/off feature works 100% on the new iPad. The magnets also hold the cover over the screen securely when closed. The two landscape stand angles (one for typing, and one more suitable for watching a video) both seem to work well. The outside material is not leather, but it is a pleasant-feeling textured plastic. The inside material feels like a thin piece of foam. This is probably designed to avoid scratching the iPad. The entire case is very lightweight and does not add significant heft to the iPad. Price (I paid $15.99) is reasonable for what you get. CONS: The corners of the iPad are not protected. If dropped there will likely be some damage. Like most iPad cases, there are no portrait stand angles supported. If you fold the cover all the way back, there is nothing to hold the cover in place and nothing for your hand to slip into for one-handed viewing. The magnets are adequate to hold the cover closed with "normal" usage, but there is no strap or other mechanism to give you extra comfort. If you are rough with your electronics, be aware of this. CONCLUSION: I have 2 kids under 10 and would not hand them the iPad in this case. But for protecting the iPad inside a backpack or briefcase for adult usage, and if you don't want a portrait stand option, it is more than adequate.(read more customer review)

I remember seeing this product on some blog, I thought it was really cool. Once I finally got an iPad, it was time to choose from all the different cases out there. I immediately remembered this case and went to Amazon to check out the reviews. The reviews were kind of mixed from people praising it to people wanting refunds. This kind of worried me but I said: "Do it". I remember thinking, I can't wait to get this thing in the mail. It finally arrived, and it was everything I expected. I was thinking about buying the Apple case but this case offers better features. For example; When I'm reading or surfing the net in my bed, I can make the case turn into a stand (like in the video). Great for watching movies, reading, games, browsing websites, etc. What I like most about the product is the disguise, that's the reason why I bought it in the first place. I have a large bookcase and when I place the 'Twelve South' in there, it completely blends in. The other cool part about this product is that it gives the iPad user a better feeling about it being protected from dropping it and scratches. And we can't forget security, now depending where your daily travels take place. This product lets you feel safe to some degree. Now, it's not full proof but It's better then nothing or the other cases in my opinion. If you're worried about the quality of the product, I bought mine back in 2011 (April) fast forward to 2012 (April) I have never had one problem with this product. This case is a great case for me it's sleek stylish unique and secretive . The look to it is awesome, the hard protective case is a plus, the inside is nice and soft, and when I got it it smelled of leather. The only downside is in the begining I had some zipper trouble but I eventually worked past that and fixed it. The elastic strap is fine now but it seems like it would wear out after some time. I found this product to be of excellent quality for a fair price. It safely stores my new iPad when it is not in use. When I carry it with me, people think that l just have an old book and are quite surprised when l open it to reveal its contents. Come on, TweleveSouth, it's time to update the design of this case for modern iPads! Although this case will work with the iPad 2 and 3, weaknesses in it's design (for the original iPad) make it much harder to use than it should be. The newer iPads control buttons are all angled towards the back of the case. The iPad sits close enough to the zipper in this case, that it is hard to work all the controls - power, volume, and mute. It is also hard to put the sync/charger cable in as well because the zipper forces it to the wrong angle. There is no built in magnet to automaticly turn off the iPad when the case is closed. You can put the smart cover on the iPad while in this case, but the left bottom strap just slightly interferes with the smart cover hinge so that the smart cover doesn't stay on securely. I've taken to using it as a slip case with the iPad loose inside but protected with a smart cover and smart cover compatible back case. This all fits fine.(read more customer review)

This ipad2 cover is wonderful. It really looks like an old book at first glance. I've had many compliments on it. One downside is: that the inner corner holders for the ipad separated in the middle when the BookBook (with my ipad2 inside) fell off my bed. The ipad2 was not damaged, but the BookBook cover will no longer hold the ipad in place. I have written the company to see what can be done about this.(read more customer review)

This is a very nice slim cover for an iPad 1 that protects and is non-slip. It does not obscure the front of the ipad, and the clasps are secure. The grooves in the base are deep enough that the ipad does not slip back and forth when angled. I have a similar type cover for another device and was impressed enough by that to try this out. For the price too it is a very good bargain. My other device's cover has not come loose over time, and I think this will be just as secure. The clasp while not *quite* as neatly fitting does keep the case closed; it's pressure based - not magnetic (can't really understand why manufacs' put magnets in computer cases...) and does the job. All in all - very impressed. I would buy another one if I was interested in getting a cover for another iPad 1 and would recommend it.(read more customer review)

I love this case. Some claim it smells no smell with mine. I asked several people if it smelled like leather or plastic. They did think it was leather, so if it not it certainly had two of my colleges here in my department fooled. The case is great, I had no problems getting the standard charger that came with the iPad nor the Amazon basics model charger into the iPad while it was in this case. The only complaint I might have is that in order to place it in one of the 3-4 slots for upright viewing, you have to 'un'hook/'unclasp' the bottom two holders so the iPad can come forward and rest in the channels for viewing.----in other words the two bottom left and right holders on the corner/bottoms of the device have to pop out or unclasp so that the device can rest in the slots. The Ipad does not slip out IF you snap the closing loop. It has two positions, one when the cover is open and the other when the cover is closed, both to keep the Ipad from slipping out. It can clearly be seen in the picture in use in both positions. And one pocket is used for a business card,etc, so if you leave your Ipad somewhere, and people are honest, they can contact you to get it back. I've been very pleased with this case, especially considering the reasonable price tag. The leather is nice, the stitching is well done, and the design is great. It's slim, not bulky, and yet it protects my iPad very nicely. Closes securely, and the stand allows for easy viewing when open. (read more customer review)




This is a decent cover for the price, but it has some drawbacks. It isn't made of leather, but of vinyl. The vinyl stretches out after months of use. I bought mine I'm May, and it was looking worn and stretched by January. When the vinyl gets stretched the iPad does move around in it more than I wanted it to.
